Teal Sallen
Hi, I’m Teal, a Vermont Artist and Mom of Two. I studied Printmaking, Art History, and other fun stuff at Massachusetts College of Art and Design in the early 00’s and continue to be a student of all that I can see and experience. My creative inspiration comes from the visually rich natural world outside and the emotionally rich world of imagination and self within, and particularly that dreamlike, liminal dimension where they overlap and tug at one another. When creating an illustration, I look for the places where words and ideas resonate with lived and observed human experience in the world and in the inner landscape of empathy, emotion, and imagination. I also strive to reference the world as it is unto itself, as well as how it is understood and felt by us through the filter of the heart and mind.
